Starting from provided painted files, this stained glass piece was created from scratch in Blender over the course of a few days, including modelling, textures, and simple animation.

The original pained portrait was provided by Kelsey Cathcart, her portfolio is available here.

On the technical side, I used photoshop to isolate the layers into work paths, illustrator to convert the work paths to an SVG, before finally using the SVG's lines as projected cuts onto a simple disc, in blender. Afterwards, I created a simple supporting scene and skybox, before rendering out the final result.
